Some programs, such as Story Hour and WonderPlay, we invite you to just show up! Other programs require more planning for materials etc., so we ask that you sign up so we can make sure everyone has what they need.
For additional resources such as homework help, safe internet use, and recommended books, scroll past the programs and activities section.
Please note: The library will be closed Monday, February 17, 2025, in observance of Presidents' Day.

1,000 BOOKS BEFORE KINDERGARTEN
Families are invited to join the 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten program at Weeks Memorial Library. The 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten program is a nationwide challenge that encourages parents and caregivers to regularly read aloud to their children. By reading just one book a night, families can reach the 1,000-book goal in three years and provide their children essential early literacy skills. Research shows that the most reliable predictor of school success is being read to during early childhood. Reading to children from an early age can help close the vocabulary gap and prepare children to enter kindergarten with the skills they need to succeed. Most importantly, sharing books with children promotes a lifelong love of books and reading. The 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten program is available to all families with children between the ages of birth and five years. Registration is open. For more information, call the library at 603-788-3352 or stop in. Print the log sheet and get started today. 1000_books_before_kindergarten_log_sheet.pdf Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library is a book gifting program that mails free, high-quality books to children from birth to age five, no matter their family’s income. Each month, Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library mails a high quality, age appropriate book to all registered children, addressed to them, at no cost to the child’s family.
